Mining for Minerals – An Introduction to Rock Collecting
An experienced geologist explains basics of rocks and minerals through a rough mining activity for participants. Children then learn to identify their findings and create a beginning rock collection to take home. Ages 5+. Reservations and a $14.00 materials fee per child are required in advance. 10:30am.
